Privacy Policy: Love, Laughter, and a Little Bit of Legal Stuff

At Kelly Thomson Celebrant, I’m all about celebrating life’s big moments, but when it comes to your personal information, I take things very seriously (even if I like to keep everything else fun and relaxed). Here’s the lowdown on what I collect, why I collect it, and how I keep it safer than the rings at a wedding ceremony.

  1. What I Collect (and Why I Pinky Promise Not to Be Creepy About It):
I’ll only collect what I need, like:
Your Name: So I know what to call you (and don’t accidentally shout “Hey You” during your ceremony).
Contact Details: Phone number, email, maybe a carrier pigeon address (just kidding, unless you’re into that).
Ceremony Details: Dates, venues, and all the juicy details that help me craft your perfect ceremony.
Photos & Testimonials (With Your Permission): To sprinkle a little celebrant magic on my website and social media.
  2. How I Use Your Info (No Funny Business):
To plan and deliver your dream ceremony.
To send you updates, reminders, or a friendly check-in.
To make my business better (and maybe give my website a glow-up).
  3. How Long I Keep Your Info (Not Forever, I Promise):
I only keep your personal information for as long as I need it to:
Deliver your ceremony and any follow-up services.
Comply with legal or insurance requirements (usually up to 6 years after your event, as required by UK law).
Keep in touch (with your permission) or showcase your beautiful ceremony in my portfolio.
After that, your info gets securely deleted, no hard feelings.
  4. Who Sees Your Info? (Spoiler: Not Many People):
Your info stays between us, unless:
The law says I have to share it.
I need to pass on details to other service providers involved in your event (but only with your okay).
You give me a glowing testimonial, and I ask nicely to share it.
  5. Keeping It Safe (No Peeking Allowed):
I lock your info up tighter than a bouquet toss scramble. My tech is secure, and I’ll never sell, trade, or do anything shady with your data. Pinky swear.
  6. Your Rights (Because You’re the Boss):
    You can:
Ask what info I have about you.
Tell me to correct it if I’ve got it wrong.
Ask me to delete it (though I’ll be sad to see you go).
  7. Questions? Complaints? Want to Chat About Ceremonies or Dogs?
Drop me a line at [email protected]. I’m happy to help, whether it’s about your privacy or planning your perfect event.
